Foodguruz’s guiding principle is that providing prescriptive and real-time guidance to users at the time of consumption allows them to make healthy dietary choices when dining out, buying groceries, or ordering online.

Foodguruz has several initiatives, but the first is a mobile app that incorporates location-based technology with a proprietary algorithm and restaurant nutritional data to provide the user with the three healthiest items on the menu when he/she walks into a restaurant.

The second phase of the platform will feature advanced development that would provide personalized and adaptive recommendations to a consumer. These recommendations would be based on an individual's past medical history, daily caloric expenditure and personal preferences to provide instant adaptive recommendations.

Technology and Dining

Technology and Dining

25% of diners "always" or "frequently" use their phones during meals to research and decide what to order.

The North Karelia project in the 1970s showed that dietary and lifestyle modification alone can lead to a 70% reduction in fatal coronary disease in men under the age of 65.

Countless studies reveal improvement in nutrition has advantages over medication and can obviate the need for expensive medications.
